Pony Mad @ 50
I am a lady of a certain age (wrong side of 50 now) and I have been embarking on a pony adventure with Sparkle (Blazing Moonshine Margarita) who I bought as a 2 year old in 2019

We have plans for 2024 including : ODE, Beach ride, Pony Camp again, Prelim dressage and Xcountry.

Out main goal for 2024 is to compete in a one day event in June.

Its all about fun. There are ups and downs, but all in all I just want to have as much fun as we can.
Over the course of 2023 Sparkle learnt to jump and I had to relearn everything I had forgotten about jumping. We did some training, went to a few small shows, and had our first proper attempt at some cross country jumps.
Massive goal achieved. We have almost cracked the getting on by myself (still takes a little while, but we can do it), which has given us a lot of opportunities to go out on our own. Sparkle loves hacking and we have explored our local area together this summer.
We have been doing some intro dressage and thanks to the lovely Vickie at Queensdown Livery for putting some some unaffliated dressage to music. I have always wanted to do this and we won both of our classes.
